I used the crockpot as well. I put in a chopped onion, a few cloves of garlic, water, and some beer as well as the packet of seasoning it comes with. Cook on low for 6 hours. Yum!
You can also throw in a few whole red potatoes

i use the crockpot and its the best corned beef i have ever made....potatoes and carrots on the bottoom, corned beef with fat side up and then 4 cups of water. super easy!

Any special seasonings?
Besides potatoes, what sides should I place with it? If cabage, how???

Yes, exactly like a pot roast. I used onions, carrots, potatoes and 1 seasoning packet. No in my fam like cabbage so I don't use it. It really is a 1 pot meal. Let us know how it comes out!

Oooo, reminds me how Mom use to make corn beef; She put it into macaroni, along with crushed tomatoes. I love it this way!!!! Mary
