Follicle Size
Forgive me for being naive, but I just started working with a RE. I did 100 mg of Clomid last week and went in today for a sono. They said that it worked well and I had 3 follicles on each side, one measuring 17 and I think the others 13. Now I have to check and see if I'm ovulating and hope all works. Just curious if these follicles are good size? Thanks!

i know youwant yoru lead follicle to be around 18mm at least...and you want the other follies to be as close to that as possible so they are mature. my dr tries to get lead around 20 to 24 the most i think.

Are you triggering? Usually they like to trigger when follicle are around 19-20. The trigger takes about 24-36 hrs to ovulate, so that gives the follies sometime to mature a little better.

No, not triggering or anything. This is my very first round of medical treatment. The nurse said Clomid worked well and now I need to use an ovulation kit to see if the big O happens so we can do our thing! :)

Do you think you are close to your O date? Try looking up Deanna's Plan, you can google it. I know a couple of ladies that have used it and have had success. Good luck!!!!

15 and over are usually mature. i think they like them 18 and bigger. my follies always got big when i was on clomid, in the 20s. they grow about 2 per day or so. by the time you ovulate and they release, i think those 13s may have a good chance to catch up. good luck!

This is my first cycle on Clomid (50mg) as well, so I'm glad you posted this! My u/s will be next Tuesday (CD12) and this is probably what I would have been posting. 
Do you remember what your follies looked like on your CD3 u/s? I had two at 7mm and curious about that.

Thanks everyone! I don't know what I was measuring when i went in for CD3, they never mentioned, just said everything look normal and was good. Sorry can't help.
I also got a call today that they want to start me on Metformin as well. Hope all goes well with that. Any experiences? Always get nervous starting new meds.
