Is it Ok to..

put baby to bed with a bottle.

Ava is a year old and up until a few weeks ago, I was still feeding her her bottle. My girlfriend who has 3 kids caught wind of this, and told me to just put her into bed with her bottle of milk.

I sort of miss feeding her. But I am more concerned with her teeth rotting. Is it ok to put them down with a bottle. I know its milk not juice, but I am still concerned??

Can anyone please give me some advice.

Personally no matter how old the baby is I'd be afraid that they'd accidentally choke. I wouldn't do it. I've always read not to also.

No way!!! Plus, she'll get bottle rot, The milk will sit on her teeth and rot them. It is so gross when kids get bottle rot, it looks gross and hurts like hell.
At her age she should be finishing her bottle and then you should be brushing her teeth.

I dont bottle feed and I wouldnt do it just because I dont think that is a habit you would want to form and have to break when she is older... not to mention the whole teeth thing.

Thank you SO much. Tonight will be the LAST night she gets put down with a bottle.

Ok, so I will just give her bottle sitting up and then brush her teeth.

May I ask, how you all brush their teeth. A finger brush, a child's toothbrush, washclothe?
