Question
So I went back to dr.b today to see if my folicle grew at all and he said the medicine didn't work . I shouldnt trigger cause there's nothing to trigger and my blood work showed a really high lh level. Here's the wierd paRt. I get a smiley on cd14-cd 17 every month and my afcomes like clockwork. The only reason he put me on femara was to create more follicles and be sure I'm ovulating. Now he says I am going to need more intense stuff like injectables and a bunch of other things that I didn't quite get. I was so taken back by all of it. He knew I was rushing down south for the funeral so he Said to come back next wk to go over everything. Here I was thinking we just has slight male Inf and recurrent mc. Can anyone explain while I sit in the car for the next 14 hours :(

Re: Question
wait.. what CD are you on today? i hate femara, i had no reaction to it as well ( even though i had 2 follies on lowest dose of clomid). maybe he will try clomid with you? if you are ovulating on your own, wouldn't you be growing one follie no matter what? do not get upset, for me femara was crap, it just did not work.

Re: Question
Oh and I'm cd15 today which normally I get a smiley on cd16 but he said femara should have caused it to grow bigger by now. I'm so confused! I go back in a week for bloodwork and sono. He said then he can see if I ever ovulated while we were away.

Re: Question
so this is what i would do and i will explain why. i would WAIT with the trigger ( of course coordinate with dr B) and give yourself time till CD20. if that follie does not grow, then the cycle will not work. BUT it might still work. this is exactly what stupid femara did to me, I had 11 and 12 mm follies until CD19, when one of them finally took. Femara delayed my own's body ovulation. i would give yourself another 5 days.

Re: Question
I have PCOS, but I also ovulated late with Femara. It did work, but I was later than what is typical. Don't lose hope. I would BD this weekend and try to get an appointment early in the week. If it still hasn't grown, then you can start thinking about other options.
Good luck!

I think you definitely should. It just might be late.

Re: Question
it depends ( on the question if you ovulate w/o a trigger). for example, i produce a follie on my own, but for some reason can not ovulate w/o trigger, I think it is a sign of PCOS. Were you ever diagnosed with PCOS?

Re: Question
Nope. My cycles are regular and I've temped and seen a temp increase. I will say since aug I haven't felt ovulation pains Like usual but everything else has been normal. We only thought we had male issues along w recurrent miscarriages. He did say my lh was really high in my bloodwork so that was an issue. I really have Zero knowledge about all of this

Re: Question
i do not know much about LH levels but from what you are saying, i would be willing to bet that if that follie grows, you WILL ovulate. keep temping!

Re: Question
high LH is a prime sign of PCOS. even if you ovulated other cycles, some ladies DO ovulate with PCOS. but high LH levels can cause poor egg quality as well. im not saying you have PCOS but elevated LH is a VERY classic sign of PCOS.
follies stalling out around 13 with already high LH means you MAY ovulate late but it would also prob be poor egg quality. i did a cycle of clomid with dr. B and all of mine stalled at 11mm and i didnt ovulate that cycle (although i was anovulatory prior to that). we went right to injectables the next cycle. its not such a big deal because (barring FSH issues) injectables pretty much guarantee egg maturation in some form.
good luck. try not to be too down about it. things like that are treatable.
