NSUH IVF girls
I am starting my first IVF. I've been on Lupron these past few weeks (no birth control). They said to call when I got AF and I would be scheduled for sono.
Finally AF showed this morning (I hate Lupron-it always delays me!!!). Anyway, I called and I'm not going until Thursday. That's cd7??? I kept saying are you sure? She said yes, that's when I should come in. She explained everything to me. They'll do bloodwork and sono and to then I'll take Lupron after the bloodwork and a nurse will show me how to take my meds.
I am just surprised that I'm not starting my meds till cd7. I trust that they know what they're doing. For my injectable iuis I always started meds on cd3.
Talk me down ladies. Tell me it will be ok.
I am so nervous and excited and just a walking bundle of nerves over this IVF. AAGGHH!
P.S. We are unexplained IF (if that matters)

Re: NSUH IVF girls
Don't worry! It's totally fine
IVF is a controled cycle therefore they have all the control.....You have up to CD7 or even CD8 to start an IVF cycle...It does not need to be CD3 (but most are)
My only successful cycle which resulted in DC I was on Lupron just like you and started meds CD6 (because of Cornell's busy schedule)...all others that started CD3 resulted in BFN....makes you think....I know it was just luck, but don't worry!!
GL!

I dont really remember what day I went in after I got AF on Lupron but I have faith in the Drs over there and I would stress out. Good luck and keep us posted.

Re: NSUH IVF girls
i did bcp for suppression with my IVF - but i know that with suppression it can take a few extra days before stim kicks in. so maybe thats why you are starting cd7. i know i tend to be sluggish after long periods of suppression. good luck!

I don't remember the order of things but they got me pregnant on my first round of ivf. Try not to stress it! Tey are very good at what they do!

Re: NSUH IVF girls
Thanks ladies. Sometimes I wish I could turn my brain off. I wish I just didn't know so much, like how I was in the beginning of this whole IF stuff. I would never question anything because I didn't know what the heck was going on.
It's funny because my first injectable iui I felt so overwhelmed and was so confused. Wouldn't you know that cycle I got pregnant!!! I had a miscarriage at 10wks and haven't been pregnant since.
I totally have faith in them. I know I just need to relax. I just need these next few weeks to fly by. Thanks ladies!

Re: NSUH IVF girls
On my successful cycle I started about day6-7 this past cycle start on day 3 and it was a BFN but I know it just wasn't my time.
Sometimes we try to over analyze things and it can drive us crazy. I personally like Dr Scholl b/c he keeps the info a minimum. others sometimes say the smalls thing and I'll left with more questions then when I came in.
Hoping this is your month. I'll be starting Lupron next month so maybe we'll be there at the same time when you're going in for pregnancy sonos =)

Thank you for replying. I love that you got pregnant there. It gives me so much hope. I really hope this next cycle brings you another BFP. I know it must be so stressful going through all this and having a little one at home.
I've only seen Dr. Scholl once for my saline sono. He seemed nice, but yes, very to the point, which I like as well. I'll actually be seeing him again on Thursday for my baseline sono. I'm so impatient. Ready to just start these stims already-haha.
I really do trust them, so I need to turn my brain off and just do whatever they tell me. DH says just listen to them, this is why they are specialists! He said to me if a neurosurgeon was telling me stuff about my brain, would I question them and make alternate suggestions?
I hope I am there next month for a pregnancy sono!!!
