Are you afraid to put pressure on your belly?
Dh parked our car SO close to the side steps last night. So I literally had to sqeeeeeze into my car. I got nervous because it pushed on my belly a little.
Is that stupid?

I feel the same way sometimes. And forget about when I'm riding the subway, I feel like a crazy person shielding my belly!
But I try and remember all the pressure they used when I had my Level I and II - and apparently that was fine!

I agree. Sometimes my cat steps on my belly and I used to worry, but at my NT scan the tech pushed HARD on my belly to get the baby into position and if thats OK, then what my cat does should be OK too.

I used to be afraid but the Dr pushes hard so I figure it is ok. My cat used to climb all over my belly, but I won't let her anymore, only cause she stands and won't lay and it kills me There are many layers protecting the baby!!

Re: Are you afraid to put pressure on your belly?
i poke my belly all the time to get the girls to move. I push and they kick back. Its actually pretty cool. They are so protected by the fluid that surrounds them that they don't feel a thing

Re: Are you afraid to put pressure on your belly?
i dont so much worry because of teh pressure the doc puts on me. i do try and prevent my dog from throwing himself at me. he likes to do that and he's a pup with a lot of energy so he can do it pretty hard. thats mainly the only thing i worry about. and sometimes when me and DH and he's on top i do push him off cuz if he leans on me i cant breathe after a bit from the pressure

My kids have been climbing all over my belly this whole pregnancy. The baby is very safe in there!
