Babymoon help
I have a few different options and I just can't decide. My grandma has a house that I can use in the end of March to beginning of April in Florida. No one will be there so it will just be DH and I. There are a lot of great beaches by her and we could also go to Miami for a few days since my cousin just moved there. So the only thing we would really have to pay for is airfare, rental car and food. And there is either the Atlantis or Aruba which are much more expensive. DH and I went to Aruba last year and loved, loved loved it. I just feel like I want to go somewhere good but then when I think about spending the money I feel really guilty because I know we have a lot of expenses coming up. What would you do?

It's not the most exciting option but I would choose Florida. You can relax, enjoy the weather, and explore Miami. For me, I just would feel better staying in the U.S. while pregnant - you know food and water are sanitary everywhere and god forbid you have a scare, you'll have American doctors / hospitals. But plenty of people go abroad and i'm an admitted paranoid worrywort. So i'm sure you'll hear plenty oof votes for aruba too. Whatever you feel comfortable with.

Re: Babymoon help
I'm a fan of Aruba. Very relaxing and a safe place. I went when I was prego with DS and now we're going with him being pregnant with #2 I say now is the best time if any b/c when the baby is here it'll be some time b4 you go away. At least to someplace relaxing. If you can afford it and put some money aside then do it. If not then 2nd vote is FL

Re: Babymoon help
i would go to FL or Aruba. I've been to Atlantis twice and while it's great, it's not so relaxing that i'd want to go for my babymoon.

I'm in the same situation... my parents own a home across the street from the beach (atlantic ocean side) and we're thinking of staying there for a few days in april... i would so rather go to aruba though, but since this pregnancy was a surprise and we need to save our $$$. if i were you and could afford it, i would go to aruba!!! i'm dying to go!

I would either say go to Florida and use the extra money to do some splurgy things there that you might not do otherwise or go ahead and do the trip you want. . you might be able to get some good vacation deals if you are flexible. .
in the end you just have to do what you are comfortable with financially but if you can afford it - why not?

Re: Babymoon help
Thanks everyone. I think we are going to go to Florida. We were talking about saving for the christening last night which is def going to cost us a lot. So as much as I want to go to Aruba I just don't think it's smart. Although Florida is not my first choice I think it will be relaxing and we will have a good time.

Anywhere will be great, its not like your options are PA or Aruba/Florida... they are all warm spots you are talking about so you cant go wrong! Go relax and enjoy.
I get what you are saying but save the Aruba trip for when you LO gets here... Its fun to take them away to a place like that. We have done it a few times & always have the best time!
