basement tool/lights/ect... area...pics please
Hi, Can you please show me or give me ideas (inexpensive) on how to organize my dh tool area..... We have tools, screws, lights, batteries, and anything else you can think of in that category piled up in the basement. I am looking for inexpensive ideas on how to organize all of it. We don't have a workbench.
TIA!!!

Definitely invest in a workbench. I bought DH one at Lowes for $160.
This one - it's $189 now but Christmas 09 it went on sale for $160.
Link - $190
This is helpful for the little bits:
Amazon - $30
$220 - you have your storage.
You can shop around for the plastic storage - Michaels and AC Moore has craft storage similar to that and they always have 40% off coupons.

This guy's $109 plus about $45 shipping...
So it's around $155.

I have 6 of these in my tool area of my basement, two in my office, two in DC's toy room, and several split in half (ceilings aren't tall enough for all 5 shelves) in other areas of the basement.
From Home Depot:
In my tool area, I have one for electrical stuff, one for power tools, one for car stuff, one for paint, one for plumbing, and one for misc.
