camping at 6 months pregnant

Would you go? It's not until June, but I'll be 6 1/2 months pregnant then. We go every year with friends. My husband looks forward to this sooo much. I told him to go without me if I dont feel up for it, but he said he wont go without me.

Has anyone done this? Would you? I would run it by my dr, but just wondering if I'm being crazy even considering going.

Thanks!

Re: camping at 6 months pregnant

i am just entering into my 6th month and if it were nice out i would def wanna go camping...so far i have had not issues with sleeping, so i think i could pull it off, altho you gotta see how you feel, cuz you might be too uncomforable!

i would def bring the air mattress!

Yeah, we always bring the air mattress. It's not hardcore camping. The bathroom is right there heheh. I guess I'll see how I feel. Hopefully, I feel well because it's always a fun time.

Thanks.

I went camping at 39 weeks with my second pregnancy. I still felt great. I see no reason not to at 6 months.

I would probably go. Is it far from home though? I know when I go with my friends they can be rowdy and loud which might be annoying when you are trying to sleep. If its in the area then you could always just leave if you aren't feeling it and come back in the morning to hang out.

I could have written your post word for word except that my husband would go without me. Chat Icon

I am probably going to go, but I will play it by ear and make final decision based on how I feel as we get closer to the date.

Good luck!

I went camping 6 months pregnant! Had a blast, the only thing I couldn't do was drink beer by the fire with everyone else.

Go and have fun!

One of my sorority sister went to our annual camp out 7 months preggers. She had an awesome time. She brought one of those egg crate mattress pads to put on top of her air mattress AND a battery operated fan. She kept saying she was completely comfy!

I def would go if I were feeling good!

Thanks girls! That makes me feel better. It's not really that close (Delaware water gap). They definitely do get rowdy, so it's something to consider. They always go down river and I dont think I can do that, but I'd be fine reading a book and relaxing at the camp site.

I'll play it by ear and see how it feel!

I would go EXCEPT the place where we go - we get no cell service. . . our phones go out about an hour before we get to the site and we are unreachable until we are driving home. . . just something to consider!

totally! I am almost 7 months and feel good enough to go. I would just make sure I was going where a hospital is within a 30 minute drive.
