Recommend your RE

So, now that Dr B. no longer takes my insurance, I am on the hunt for RE #3...

Re: Recommend your RE

I currently go to Reproductive Specialists of New York @ their Stony Brook location. We had our consult with Dr. San Roman (loved him) and I have since met with Dr. Bronson and Dr. Halfen. Dr. San Roman just did my 3rd IUI yesterday (my first with RSofNY). although I have not had success yet since this is only my first cycle with them and I am currently in the 2WW, I have been very happy with everyone there from the doctors to the staff, everyone is pleasant and they run like clockwork. Good Luck!

Re: Recommend your RE

I got to RsofNY also but I attend the mineola office. I really like it there and am currently at the beginning of my first IVF cycle after 4 IUI with them.

Re: Recommend your RE

Thanks so much for replying. I actually started with Bronson and Lydic when they were at stony brook univ. Then I moved with them to RSofNY. I was there for a while before I switched to dr. B. However, I never saw dr San roman but have heard good things.

I highly recommend my RE..Dr. Tortoriello at SIRM-NY and they take lots of different types of insurance. You can look up their SART stats. That being said, do you have any specific issues such as immune issues, high FSH, low ovarian reserve or are you older? There may be others that you might want to look into. In general, I have heard very good things about Cornell and NYU.

I also go to RSofNY in the Mineola office and see Dr. Trivax. He is awesome. Both my DH and I really like him a lot, and he made us feel very confident that he was going to get me pregnant. They always take me on time and have early appointments since I work in the city. Good luck! :)

I dont know how old you are but I was 43 and delivered my dd 1 month before my 44th birthday.. I was scared to death.. that clock ticked so loud on me I was losing my mind.. But I kept at it and finally got an answered prayer.. I didnt realize my post would cause harm , I am truly sorry for any fear I caused anyone during this time .. I was just being happy for Dr B who is excited about his change and I thought it was ok to post.. Please forgive me anyone who I may have upset .. I am so so sorry Chat Icon

Oh Diana...I honestly do not know why you feel bad about a thing. I seriously doubt that your post did harm to anyone!! I know I was not harmed and am not upset about a thing. Honestly, we are all just here to help each other as best we can. I don't know Dr. B, but he sounds like a great Dr. He certainly is leaps and bounds above most as he seems to truly understand immune issues and recurent miscarriage and such.

I feel really bad that you feel bad....you have no reason to.

As for being 43 and hearing that clock tick..well...we have a lot in common...so happy that you were able to get your take home baby!!

I saw Dr. Trivax today for my first appt. and I have to say off the bat I like him very much. He was very open and available to talk about any concerns and questions that we had. We spent over 1 1/2 hours there and only about 10 in the waiting room. He spent a lot of time getting to know us and our wishes. We are not quite ready for IVF and he was totally supportive about that and giving other options a try. He was very positive and kind.

I go to The Center for Human Reproduction at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset. I see Dr. Hershlag who is absolutely wonderful. I've also seen Dr. Rausch who was very sweet too!

I highly recommend them. Everyone I've encountered there on staff has been amazing.

If you have questions, feel free to FM me!

Chat Icon Thank you everyone, I will look into your suggestions!

About me, I have unexplained infertility with some endometriosis. I have been on this "journey" for about 5 years. It wasn't until the past two years that I got more aggressive and did medicated cycles and IUIs. The first three years it was tests, surgeries for endo, and monitored cycles. I am hoping I am almost done!
