Eggs
So I had a completely ridiculous moment in the store yesterday and couldn't remember if I usually buy large or extra large eggs. I ended up going with XL and realize now I usually get large. It got me wondering (besides whether I need my head examined), what type do you buy and do you have any particular reason for it?
I made hard boiled eggs today and did not like the extra bulkiness of the extra large. Something about the smaller size is just more delicate to me.

Re: Eggs
I used to buy only extra large. I don't know why exactly. Now I only buy large because they are cheaper, but since i am used to XL, I miss them. i feel like large has more yolk and extra large has more egg white.

Re: Eggs
It is funny you posted this. DH came home recently with extra large eggs. I actually brought them back to the supermarket to exchange them for large since I was going to be doing some baking!
I never thought about it until I took a cupcake class and they told me you should always use large eggs in baking. Now I only get large.

Re: Eggs
if you're a baker, large is better--XL throws off the recipes (unless it specifically calls for XL).
