When packing for the Hospital, did you bring -
your prenatals? I haven't even considered packing this, but all of a sudden this morning I began to wonder how important it is to take it daily. Some people are in labor at the hospital more than 24 hrs and I know if you're BFing you need to continue to take them. So would it be wise to pack it? Or does a few days really not matter

I was told not to bring any outside vitamins or medicines because the hospital will provide it for you.

good point. Even if you do bring it, don't take anything without the nurses knowing

No prenatals needed those few days, I was told.
But as far as "giving" you what you need:
I got an itemized bill and FYI each time they gave me motrin, it was $1.44. So if you bring your own, you could save that. Same with colase. Ask your doc if that's ok to bring and you'll save some money if you're at all concerned.
I was only in the hospital 2 days - vag birth, no epidural or pain meds - and it was $2800. As cheap as it gets.

If you take a chewable vitamin, you should bring it and let the nurses know that you have it. They will want to watch you take it though.

Don't know if I was supposed to but I brought my vitamins and all my other meds (inhaler, thyroid meds)
If I recall correctly I took my own pre-natals and they did give me my thyroid meds there...
Either way, I'm sure they have them.
