Don't worry. It happens. Pregnancy is not easy for us and sometimes our stupid DH's can be insensitive. DH and I have butted heads alot as well. It will pass. Chat Icon Chat Icon

As I have learned from talking to lots of moms, what you are experiencing is VERY common. I totally understand how you feel. You always think it should be this amazing time for you and DH (the pregnancy and the beginning of parenthood) but the truth is, it's one of the most difficult times. It took DH and I a while to get to a good place. Your life is changing, his life is changing and your life together is changing. It's just an adjustment period. Keep open communication, it will passChat Icon

as the PP said - it is a very difficult time, for you and for him - and not all for the same reasons.... Life is changing, and although its exciting, its scary.

Keep communication open, it will get better

Same thing with me and my DH - I think it is more common than we think, and people are afraid to admit it because it is so scary. DH says some insenitive things, and I think we are really sensitive right now, and things that might not have set us off before will now. Try to communicate and work through it. Sorry you are feeling this way, and hope it gets better soon.

Re: feeling sad today

DH and I have had out ups and downs through out my pregnancy. I think I am especially sensitive right now and sometimes he just doesnt get it. Also, I try to remind myself that DH is probably as scared as I am - just showing it in a differnt way. Im sure everything will be ok. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon This is such a life changing event. Not to mention that while you're physically experiencing all the changes your DH is not. It took my DH until my belly was really showing for him to be like "this is really happening". Just try to keep the communication going. It's going to be an adjustment on all levels.

Re: feeling sad today

Thank you ladies. I feel so frustrated. I am glad I am not alone. I feel like he is not thinking or considering me at all. He also betrayed my trust by sharing something with his parents that I did not want shared. I dont have a good relationship with them at all. I feel like he keeps for getting about my feelings. Its so upsetting. I hope it gets better, I hate feeling stressed out.

Re: feeling sad today

I went through the same sadness just a couple weeks ago. Felt to me like, while I knew that I was being totally overly sensitive & knew it, that nothing would make it better. Luckily, it passed for me. But, I wrote on here about it & got a lot of consolation from other LI moms too. Sadly, people tend to think that no one else goes through it, & when you bring it up to people who know you, they (sometimes) overthink what you are going through. I think that it's very normal to have these feelings. I hope yours get better soon. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon
