Stupid question about slicing sausages?
How do u slice a sausage link before it's cooked?

I either freeze them for a bit, or I par boil them a bit. Soft cooked ones slice up easy and then I put them in a little EVOO and fry up.

FYI: Ex-h liked spicy sausage and I liked sweet - when I made S&P for us, I cut the spicy ones in half/thirds and the sweet ones in smaller diagonal slices, this way we could tell them apart

I usually brown them first, then slice them longways and flip them and brown the inside.

Actually no...I find they dry out that way...I place the who sausage links on top of the peppers and when they're done, slice them up or a I broil them first then cut and add

I bake the sausage in the oven until it's almost done, then take it out, slicce it and add it to the pan with peppers/onions/oil & seasoning. Mush easier to slice like that.

Use a VERY sharp knife..and as a previous poster suggested, it's easier if they're still slightly frozen. I always cut mine before I cook it.
