Any quick pick-up appetizers?
I'm getting together with some girlfriends tonight and it wasn't feasible to make an appetizer ahead of time due to work/traveling...so is there anything quick and easy I can pick up along the way? I was thinking a veggie platter but its so boring

Was the 'quick and easy' a reference to your girlfriends?

Sam's club has fruit and cheese platters. You can pick up a veggie one as well, but they have more elaborate ones like the cheese and fruit combos. You can pick up some bread or crackers to go with it.
Maybe you can grab some frozen appetizers. Sometimes it only takes 10 minutes plus the oven warming up to make them.

One time I went to a jewelry party and one of the girls showed up with a big bag of McDonald's fries. Everyone laughed, but they were all gone by the end of the night. LOL.

Costco has plenty of frozen hors d'oeuvres
ETA: or the TGI Friday's frozen apps that you can find in the supermarket. I LOVE the chicken quesadilla rolls

Do you have a Ceriello, Iavarone or any other Italian deli nearby? Last time I had a party I picked up mini smoked mozeralla with sundried tomato & basil. they also had bruschetta topping that they could put in a container and you could bring bread or crisps.

Re: Any quick pick-up appetizers?
Stick a block of velveeta cheese and a jar of salsa in the microwave until the cheese melts, stir and serve with chips. So easy and so good!

I had some of this for dinner last night So good!
Also, Costco has small chicken teriyaki meatballs in the refrigerator section.. those are pretty good and are fully cooked, just have to warm up

I would go to my local italian deli. olives, cheeses, crackers, and I like the other idea of calamari., with some wine.
