Has the Snoogle ever stopped working for you?

I hate the Snoogle. I really do hate it! But I started using it mid-December and it was the only thing that made me comfortable enough to sleep. It's a pain in the azz to have in my bed, but since it was allowing me to sleep and not have terrible hip and sciatic pain, I kept at it.

But I'd say the past five nights or so have been pretty terrible. I am waking up a lot again in a lot of hip pain and can't seem to stay comfortable. I haven't had this problem since before the Snoogle. Did it just stop working for me or something? Did my fat azz cause the pillow to flatten and thus become less effective?

Anyone else have these problems?

YES! I used to love snoogle but now I feel exactly what you say and it causes me a LOT of hip pain. It's like if I put it between my legs it's too high for my hips. I try to use it in a different way which helps a little - just rest my top leg on it, try to tuck part of it under my belly to support the BIGNESS and use a regular pillow for my head. . this works better but still not so much. . or I use it more for back support and put a smaller pillow under my belly and leg. . last night I gave up all together and slept on the chaise, virtually upright. . SIGH

ah i did not mean to dash your hope!

i really am at the tail end of this (I hope) so it is possible nothing would work (except perhaps sleeping with a masseuse working on me for the entire night)

your love for snoogle may not be over, maybe you are just having a bad week. . don't give up on him yet

So funny you posted this because I too have lost my love for my snoogle. I don't know if it is causing me any additional pain, but over the past 2 weeks it certainly hasn't brought me any additional comfort. I loved it with my first pregnancy - didn't even want to give it up after my DD arrived! This time around it was ok in the beginning and now it has found a nice home on my floor next to my bed. I don't want to put it away yet, because I keep thinking that maybe I will want it back in the upcoming month as I continue to get bigger etc. but so far it is a no-go.

I agree with PP - don't give up yet

It never worked for me

I thought I was going to have this amazing relief and feel wonderful when I woke up but that never happened. It actually made me sleep worse!

This is not looking very good.

Maybe I should take DH up on his offer to drag the recliner into the bedroom ... so I can sleep near him.

YES! This past week has been a tough one and the snoogle is not helping as it once was. I tried Monday night to sleep without it and still felt uncomfortable. I don't know what to do either!

I was getting annoying with the snoogle for hip pain the last two weeks (approx weeks 25-27) but i kept sleeping with it because it supports the belly so nicely and my arms seem to fall asleep less using it but i have noticed that suddenly this week (week 28) its not bothering my hip anymore and I am fully back in love with the snoogle.

The best place for me to sleep towards the end was on the couch in our living room. I could kinda prop myself up diagonally on it and it was surprisingly comfortable.

I know it stinks, but it gets better!!! Somehow at the very very end, a little really hard lower back rubbing would be enough to relieve the pain and get me through the night (or at least until the first of many bathroom breaks).

As soon as the baby is born, it all goes away!!!

Except if you try to carry the baby in a heavy stroller up the stairs because you thought it was a good idea to take the stroller you hadn't used before to walk DD to the mailbox and pull out your lower back. Not that someone we know did that yesterday... ok, I did. Stupid Sandra.

BTW: I have a box all packed up and ready to send you to (and another for Laura). I'm just waiting for a good time to run over to the shipping store (maybe Friday). LMK through some form of communication if you already have a lot of NB clothes or something, though, since that's mostly what I'm sending you. I don't have a lot that are seasonal for you, but hopefully you'll make use of some of these.

Snoogle never worked for me. I found it too big and I just kind of slept next to it instead of it supporting me. I used the Boppy Cuddle Pillow last pregnancy and never gave it up and am still using it for #2.

it stopped working for me!! I have been sleeping on the couch for over a month since i cant get comfortable anywhere else.

Yup i think I'm getting there as well. I am getting hip and back pain and i am just not comfortable anymore. Ugh...

i dont have a snoogle but my maternity pillow just isnt doing it for me either

I never liked it my first pregnancy, didn't even break it out for this one.
I sleep with a regular pillow under my belly, between my legs and it seems to work pretty well. If I'm really uncomfortable, I'll put another pillow behind/under my back.
