Re: Question re: Hardness of belly
at my last dr appt... I was in the middle of having super intense round ligament pain.. and the nurse kept feeling my stomach and asking all sorts of questions about how hard it gets.
she was concerned for contractions. she said the hard belly is a sign of a contraction.
i don't think that's the case every single time.
but i would call my dr office to be sure. even if you dont need an emergency appt you can at least speak to a nurse about your symptoms.

Re: Question re: Hardness of belly
Oh I should of mentioned I was in the hospital this weekend because I was throwing up so much I became dehydrated so I was hooked up to all the machines to check on the baby and check for any contractions and that wasnt the case-- the baby was fine the whole time.
I will call the Dr. and let him know Ive notice a change tho, Thanks!
I just didnt want to seem like that annoying 1st time pregger!

Re: Question re: Hardness of belly
Is it hard all the time or does it come and go. I was still sick at 16 weeks, but my belly started getting hard at that point, like hard in the sense that it wasn't so bloated, but rather more baby belly like. I have no idea if that makes any sense.

This is my 2nd pregnancy.. but the first didn't make it past 11 weeks... so a lot of it is new to me as well.

Re: Question re: Hardness of belly
People couldn't tell I was pregnant until was around 25/26 weeks, but around 16 weeks my belly started getting firmer (it lost all of the first trimester bloat). I wouldn't worry if it's not coming and going, but rather staying it's likely just your body changing.
