Anyone else tired of the....
"how are you feeling?" question!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
UGH, I know they mean well but how do you think I feel? Come up with a better one, PLEASE!

In the beginning I was getting VERY tired of the question. Now since I'm far enough along that there aren't many "symptoms" people think you might have, it's calmed down. I know what you mean though....

Especially at work. I work for a credit union out in one of the branches and every time I have to call another b ranch or the back office for something, we have to start with the how are you doing conversation. Don't get me wrong, I really appreciate everyone's care and concern, but except for a few people, I'm calling for something customer related, and therefore am on a time frame here! When I'm trying to solve a problem for someone, I'm sure they don't want to listen to me talk about my pregnancy for the first 2-3 minutes of every phone call.

Sooooo tired of it!
And it seems most people want REAL answers, so they look at me weird when I just smile and say "fine". Believe me... you don't want to know how I really feel!

I used to get that question all the freakin time and never really knew how to respond. I wasn't sure if it was a 'how are you' kind of comment that is not meant to be truly answered, or if they really wanted to know the details of my physical & emotional state. So yeah that question bugged me a bit. lol.
Now that I'm 13 days away from my due date, I don't mind the question as much. I think people ask because they want to know if any contractions have started. Lately when people ask 'how are you feeling?' my answer is usually "anxious & uncomfortable"

Yes, but I'll take it over the question my MIL asks me every SINGLE time I speak to her - "Did you eat?" I told DH I'm going to start telling her no, I've decided it's in ther baby's best interest to starve myself.

i hate that question because neither answer is right. if you say "great" they look at you like you have 3 heads and ask you about all the symptoms you may or may not have. if you say "terrible" then you get a comment along the lines of "well you're pregnant" - as if YOU are complaining even though THEY asked!!

Nah, it doesn't bother me. I think of it as a courtesy....the equivalent of "Hi, how are you?" Better than those who couldn't care less.

I think everyone means well!  I don't mind, but I do understand how it can get annoying. Just like after you get married and the question becomes so when are you having children?

I think it's more on par with "how's married life?" which everyone asks to be nice, and you always have to give a generic answer for. Asking someone when they are having children is totally inappropriate IMO and none of anyone's business.

I really don't mind it although I haven't told anyone at work yet and I'm sure I'll be hearing it a lot more when I do. But I know it's because they are being nice. I ask my co-worker how she's doing a lot she's 6 months.

No, and honestly I never understood how women could find a question of common courtesy, to be annoying. I think it would be rude if people didn't ask how a pregnant woman was feeling. But, that's just me.

I only find it annoying from my mother. Who I know only cares but she asks me every.single.time. If she spoke to me 3 times a day she'd ask every time. I don't think how I am feeling will change all that drastically through out the course of a day.

sometimes it bothers me....like the 10th time I get asked in a day but I just say good or tired and they either respond with thats great or get used to being tired
