FET w/'leftover' 5 day blastocysts?
how are the chances that they thaw well? how many do they thaw at once? just enough for your transfer?

My current PG is from an FET...They thawed one and put back one
I believe my RE said they like to see the frozen embies manintain 70% of their cells upon thaw ( if I recall correctly )

I don't know the numbers but I can tell you that I have had 4 frozen embryos thawed and all of them thawed very well and were able to be implanted. The first two IVFs that I did, they put one in at a time and the last time that I did IVF they put two in.

Re: FET w/'leftover' 5 day blastocysts?
I had 6 embies left.
When we decided to have #2, we wanted to do PGD testing on them. All 6 were successfully thawed then re-frozen, they all "survived" Out of my 6 two were viable, they were re-thawed and then those were the two we used.
I got pregnant with twins, but lost one and sucessfully carried my DS to term.

i've had 2 FETs and all embies survived the thaw. as i understand it, they thaw the embies the day before your transfer. this way, if they don't all make it and you still have leftover frozen embies, they can thaw those in time for your transfer. i was told that about 70% of frozen embies survive the thaw.
