? for those that used follistism

I am on day 7 of using injectables for the st time, had 3 follies yesterday, sizes 13, 15.5, & 18. RE told me to come back in Saturday to check sizes again...and if all looks good, I will do the HCG shot myself Saturday night, to have an IUI on V-day (Monday)....this is all good news...

but..........the past few days my fingers and stomach are now swelling a bit, not to the point where I am in any pain, but enough that my wedding ring is really tight and my stomach looks like I have my AF etc...

Have any of you had these minor symptoms from follistism? I just don't want to be too worried about it if this is normal....but I dont want to underestimate it if this is the beginning of OHSS....

I never had any side effects at all from Follistim. Why don't you call the doctor and let him know what's going on - better to be safe than sorry!

From what my RE told me, OHSS really starts after the retrieval or hcg trigger when the eggs are released. You can definitely feel swollen in the stomach area but that doesn't necessarily mean OHSS. Good luck!

bloating is completely normal.
you cant get OHSS until after ovulation so you dont really have to worry about that at this point. good luck!
