Question about Car Leases...
Wondering if anyone else has done this or tried to do this...
I have a 2 door honda civic that is leased....i still have prob a year and a half left of my lease...
Has anyone attempted to trade in a lease this early?? i mean i would prob just lease a 4 door one...so i personally dont see why it should be a problem, buttt im no car lease expert so i dont know if there would be some sort of penalty to do that!
I just cant see myself putting a baby in that back seat!! its ooober small to begin with let alone to put a baby in and out of!
DH has a suv, which would be fine, except (me personally) doesnt really trust it! i will drive it if i have to, but its older and there is always something wrong with it.

Re: Question about Car Leases...
the earliest i did it was 6 months... but those remaining payments are still your responsibility... they will roll them over to your new lease... id try and wait it out as long as you can...

Re: Question about Car Leases...
We are currently in the same situation. We have a 2-door Mercedes and was hoping to "trade-in" for the truck. In talking to our sales guy, they are willing to assume 5 months worth of the payments and then you can just roll the rest of the payments you owe into the new lease.
You should see if they are willing to assume any of the payments - surprisely sometimes you are and then you should wait as long as you can.
Our LO isn't due until 5/25 so we are holding out until the end of April/early May.
We also are considering picking up a truck that is just coming off of lease to see if they will work a better deal on that.

Not sure exactly how it works, but I remember my brother talking about it.

Re: Question about Car Leases...
If you have to wait, it may not be too bad.
DH has a 2 door Saab and takes 2 kids in it all the time (he used to drop off every day). The infant carrier is pretty easy to put in the back.

This is what the dealership tried to do when we were looking for a mini van. We had 4 months left on our Edge and every dealership we went to rolled our last 4 payments into the new car.
We wound up waiting, just wasn't worth paying the extra money in the monthly payment.
