Cabo, Mexico
I need some help. My cousin is getting married!! She asked 4 of us to be in her bridal party (her 3 cousins & her sister), however since asking us her & her FH have decided the big wedding is not for them. They are going to get married at City Hall & then have a family dinner only. So since we will no longer have the bridesmaid expenses we all decided to go on vacation.
This is what I found:
Barcelo Los Cabos Palace Deluxe All Inclusive, San Jose del Cabo: 2 rooms, for 5 nights for the 5 of us will come out to $1,000 per person including round trip airfare.
Please tell me the good, the bad, the ugly. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
TIA.

Re: Cabo, Mexico
There are two different towns to Cabo, with a stretch of about 25 miles in between them
San Jose del Cabo is where the airport is and is a much smaller quainter town than Cabo San Lucas (which is what most people think of when they think of Cabo)
When i was there we stayed at one of the resorts along the 'strip' between the two towns where a lot of the hotels are (we stayed at Dreams). You had the option of going to either town, and it seemed most people went to Cabo San Lucas. It's a much bigger town, more popular and i got the impression it was nicer. I only really saw the other town when we arrived and left since that's where the airport was - so you should see if you can get opinions on that town from people to see if its as good as Cabo San Lucas

I agree with the PP. I think you'd wanna stay in CSL, that's where all the nightlife is, good restaurants, the marina, El Arco, and everything is in walking distance, beaches too. We stayed at Marina Fiesta, and the location was PERFECT!!!!

Re: Cabo, Mexico
We went to Los Cabos a few years back. We did very little research beforehand - all we knew was that it was a great place to go.
The resort we stayed in was in San Jose del Cabo. It was about a $30 cabride each way to downtown San Lucas.
We were disappointed - we thought we'd be closer to San Lucas (the more popular area) or it would be easier to get to.

Re: Cabo, Mexico
I would go to Trip Advisor and go on their Cabo San Lucas Forum. We are headed there next Saturday and I found a TON of information there for our trip this time.
I would look into renting a time share through the owner for the best deal in Cabo. Most resorts there are time shares. Here are two sites to look at www.RVBO.com and www.redweek.com. Then you could rent even a 3 bedroom and have amenities like a washer/dryer and kitchen so you could cook breakfasts and such.
I would avoid any AI since the food in Cabo is the greatest!
I would also go to this site for vouchers for activites and food. I got my whole family a breakfast/open bar whale watching cruise for 20 a head(normally 40). You can save a ton of money this way. Los Cabo Guide
Feel free to FM me in the beginning of March for a full trip report
