Yikes! Weight Related
So, I went to the doctor today and gained 8 pounds in 4 weeks! YIKES!! I'm 25 weeks tomorrow. I'm up a total 15 pounds but am concerned if I keep this pattern up. Anyone else gain this much in such a short time? Feeling really crummy....

That really isn't bad. i was up almost 28 lbs at 25 weeks. And I exercise regularly and eat right!!!!! But I think I gained most weight in the first and second trimesters, because now it has definitely slowed down. There was a month where I gained 10 lbs and then the next month I was only up 2 lbs. People just gain at different points in their pregnancies. Don't stress, your body is doing what it needs to do to have a healthy pregnancy.

I wouldn't stress. I wasn't really gaining much weight and then I gained 5 lbs in 4 weeks and then another 5lbs the following 4 weeks. At 26 weeks I was up 12 and that was on the lower end, so I'm assuming 15 is too. I think there are just weeks that you gain more especially if you weren't gaining that much earlier on.

I had gained 15 pounds by 21w. Just make sure you are eating healthy (not literally eating for 2). Like Kristen said...your body is going to do what it needs to do to have a healthy pregnancy.

Don't stress! I'm up 22lbs in 26 weeks With DD#1 I had a weight gain of 10lbs between 24-28 weeks. OB wasn't concerned at all. Usually towards the end it tapers off

You wont! I had the same thing happen two times in a row... then I lost weight since then.... your body does what it wants. Just try to eat healthy and do you best.

Thanks ladies! I was getting bad with snacking and had been eating dessert lately which I don't normally do. DH has been an enabler, so I told him we can't eat like that anymore!

Yep I gained 8lbs between 20 and 24 weeks... I was up 18 at that point.
I just laughed when I saw the # on the scale!
Then my OB said...this looks good you have gained TOO much yet.
Dont feel crumby--- it is what it is...
I remember feeling that when with DS at times, this time around I am expecting it because I gained 50lbs with him so its no big deal to me! But you have no reason to feel crumby you are growing a life inside you and if that means you put on 30lbs or 70lbs as long as you and your baby are healthy - who cares?

Don't worry about it. I once gained 8 pounds in 4 weeks (i think it was around 24 weeks), and I didn't gain a pound before that. Now, at almost 39 weeks, I think I'm up like 23 pounds (can't remember the exact number because I try not to stress about it). If you're eating as healthy as you can and trying to stay active, you're fine!

I think you're doing great!
I think I ready somewhere that in the second tri you should gain between 1-2 a week? So if that's accurate, you're good!
