Anyone feel dizzy or faint?
Hi ladies!
Does anyone else feel dizzy or faint? I'm 19 weeks pregnant with my twins and I'm going back to the doctor next week for my Level II sono. During the past week I have felt so sick that I thought I was going to pass out. I'm eating small meals throughout the course of the day and drinking plenty of fluids. I'm a middle school math teacher and I'm finding it so difficult to work lately because I'm always light-headed. I'm constantly on my feet and can't really teach the material sitting down. When I went to the doctor for my 16 week appointment, I had told her that I was constantly short of breath. She mentioned that this was because of the increased blood flow in my body. Now it's so out of hand. Does anyone else have similar symptoms? Are you finding it difficult to work? My first trimester was so easy...I'm struggling to get through the second one.

Re: Anyone feel dizzy or faint?
At about 24 weeks I had the same symps. I ended up being anemic and I'm now taking iron pills (and added more red meat into my diet).
I also have very low blood pressure so if I eat something salty (usually pretzels) it helps instantly. Best of luck - you'll be ok!

I was just going to say the same thing. Maybe call the drs office and ask if they can do a blood test for anemia...I just found out yesterday I have anemia and when looking up symptoms I was like "that explains it..." One was dizzy spells, nauseousness, shortness of breath, overly tired....
ANd I just read its even more common with multiple pregnancies.

Thank you both so much! I went to the doctors yesterday and I had a blood test. Just waiting for the results to come back. I'm going back to work tomorrow and I plan on leaving some pretzels at my desk. I think I need to eat a big steak tomorrow night for dinner!

Re: Anyone feel dizzy or faint?
Adding an iron supplement also helped me with the dizziness feelings.

Re: Anyone feel dizzy or faint?
The same happens to me and I am carrying twins too. It turned out that for me the babies are draining all of my iron and my Prenatal is not enough to supplement my body so now I take an addition iron supplement. This past weekend I stopped the iron because I had not used the bathroom at all. I was off it for 2 days and I felt EXHAUSTED and light headed all the time. make sure u get plenty of fluids and lots of iron.

Re: Anyone feel dizzy or faint?
Yes. I passed out last week at 19 weeks in Target, ended up in the ER. It's "normal". The doctors recommended eating more protein, drinking more, and eating small meals. I hate it, I am having all these dizzy spells now, it's scary.
