Acne scarring but no visible breakout?
So, after going through all of my teen years with not so much as one pimple, I battled moderate cystic acne for pretty much all of my twenties. I thought I had finally gotten that under control, but lately my skin has been acting up again.
At first I thought my pores were just getting really large, but now I think I may actually have some pitted scars, along with dark reddish/purplish marks. The thing is though, I haven't had any raised zits or deep cysts at all so why would this be happening?
I made an appt. with the dermo, but I can't get in for almost another month. I was just curious if this happened to anyone else and if there is any hope for me?

I could have written this myself! I am going through the EXACT same thing now. I'm sorry that I don't have any advice to offer because nothing seems to be working for me either (I've been using Proactiv for years and now it's like it just stopped working). Good luck with the dermatologist and please let us know what he/she suggests.

Thanks. Sorry you have to deal with this too, it is so frustrating! I will definitely let you know what the dr. says.

I would like to know too. My one dermatologist recommnended me to another one who specializes in some laser treatment. But I lost the card.

The best thing for you to do is get on some kind of regime..Not sure where you are located. I offer 6 peels for $350 and that will help with the acne and scaring..If not from me find a place near you that is reputable.. You need to get our skin under control and balanced.
