Reduced Size of Food Packages

We have all noticed that companies are reducing the quantities of food in packages to avoid raising prices...

Have you had any issues with this when it comes to recipes? ie: my grandma's spinach quiche recipe calls for 1 box of frozen chopped spinach but I know the size of the box is smaller than it used to be back then. I have no clue what the original size was to compensate with some extra from a second box.. very annoying.

Have you run into this with anything?

all the time. Almond Paste and Marizpan... those went down in size and now its an odd amount and I don't remember the original or its only a little off... also oddly enough egg noodles, the ones I use to make noodle pudding. also a different size. It's frustrating.

A tub of unsalted margarine used to be 8 ounces. Now it is 6 ounces.
I now have to weigh the margarine for one of my cookie recipies.

I can remember when a can of coffee weighed one pound and cost about $1.89. Now it is down to 10.8 ounces and costs over $6 if I don't buy it on sale.

Orange Juice - they did us a favor by changing the package - now its 59 oz.

My mom just mentioned a can of tuna is now 5 oz, not 6.

Whole wheat pasta isn't a pound.
