2 pap smears in 2 months?!?

2 pap smears in 2 months?!?
I had an appointment Friday and she did a pap smear when she was checking me, she also gave me a new pregnancy packet and i was rading it when i got home and it said at the 2nd appointment if a pap smear has not been done within 6 months, she would do one and she did...but i JUST had one November 30th, i didn't realize that was what she did until i left (my DD was over tired and very distracting)....now we are at will of the deductible and they will not cover anything for a 2nd pap that soon....i have no idea why she did another pap and im a little upset about it. Our insurance for maternity sucks and we will have to pay for most of this pregnancy until the birth....WWYD?
I called and left a message and ask why they did it and about my insurance.....i don't know what to say to them....we can't afford extra stuff like that when i didn't need one...

I would fight it with the doctor and tell her you are not making any additional payments. It is obvious she made a mistake. Unless your pap had come back abnormal for some reason there was no need to do a 2nd one. Their mistake, their responsibility!

ITA. definitely try to fight it. my dr tried giving me another pap, but i had one done a month before i found out i was pregnant, so i had my gyno fax over the results to my OB and that satisfied the requirement.
