Where would you go for a short tropical getaway in late september???

my DH and I are looking to plan our 1st EVER trip without the kids. So we want it farely close by plan (mind you I am in NC so I am even closer to tropical places)

BUT I am concerned about hurricane season.

Any recs on someplace romantic, warm, relaxing!

Aruba is outside of the hurricane zone

For something close, I would still consider The Bahamas. It's not my dream location, but it does nicely for a quick getaway.

Hurricanes are actually fairly infrequent here, so while there is always the possibility, the odds are certainly in your favor.

Maybe look at Atlantis.

Maybe Bermuda? It's super close and beautiful. The flight from NC would probably be an hour.

I don't mind a hurricane and spending time in our rooms , BUT I do need to get back to 2 little ones, so I don't want to be stranded.

Give me a quiet room to sleep in and keep the drinks coming all day and I will be happy! LOL!
