Was this a Chemical or the trigger shot
I posted last week that I got faint, but very visible postives on a FRER 6dp3dt and 7dp3dt. This was 11 and 12 days post my trigger shot for IVF. On the next day, 8dp3dt, the line got lighter and now nothing. My official test is Monday. If I am officially negative Monday, in your opinion, was this a very short lived chemical pregnancy or the trigger shot? The triggger shot is always gone for me by the time I got the faint positives. I am trying to make out in my head what happened. I did feel a lot of cramping in those days it was faint and almost like very very slight contractions the last faint positive day and then no cramps since.

Re: Was this a Chemical or the trigger shot
IMHO, unless you actually test down your trigger and see it fade away and then re-appear, it's hard to know for sure. On the other hand, if in the past your trigger is always gone with the SAME type of HPT by the time you saw a line first appear this time, then it likely was a chemical. The fact that there were very visible lines for you 11 and 12 DPT when FRER's seem to be giving light lines these days, makes me think you had a chemical. Either way...I'm sorry

Thank you.
I have always tested negative by this time, so the trigger shot was always gone with the same type of test, FRER, so I am guessing it was a chemical, but I guess I will never know.

ITA. Everybody behaves differently with the trigger shot (like with everything else) but since you have a pretty good idea about what to expect in general from this shot, it sounds more likely to be a chemical. If this is the case, I'm so sorry

Re: Was this a Chemical or the trigger shot
Wanted to add, yesterday, 14 days post trigger, there was the most faintest line, but you had to really hold it to the light to see and strain your eyes. I know this cycle was a bust, but really curious as to whether this was a chemical or not.

Now I'm even more convinced that you had a chemical. I know that you likely do not want to hear this now...but what I was told when I had my chemicals by both my doctor and others is that it is a good sign as at the very least, you know that you can implant an embryo. I hope you catch and hold your eggie next time.

First off, I'm so sorry
Definitely sounds like a chemical to me. I would definitely call or speak to your doctor Monday when you go for the beta.
