Don't know if this is sexy but I am thinking something with scallops....maybe in a white wine/butter and with whipped potatoes and some kind of green veggie?

Maybe I will add a steak for DH too.

I think for dessert I am going to make caramel (homemade) to put ontop of warm brownies with vanilla ice cream. YUM

We're doing a surf and turf.. King Crab Legs served next to Succulent Petite Filet Mignon with a lush red wine reduction, Tender crisp Asparagus spears sauteed with fresh garlic and a creamy risotto.

And for dessert.. a decadent flourless chocolate torte with raspberry sauce.

Re: anyone cooking something sexy

I've been watching Food Network & Cooking Channel today and they're pretty much making scallops as a main course and chocolate as the dessert.
Maybe have some oysters since they're an aphrodisiac?

SUch as: Run the water, put a pot under the running water, turn the stove on. WHen the water boils, pour pasta into pot, etc......
DH likes to remind me "I dont know howwwwwwww"

Not us since Liam is having surgery that day.. But, in the past I love to make fondue for romantic meals. Even just dessert fondue is awesome and sooo easy!

Here ya go!! It's a Rachel Ray recipe, I'm posting it as is below, but I do a little tweaking to it. Fh isn't a fan of the pate so instead I double the mushroom/wine/shallot mixture and put some under and on top of the filets. I also marinate the steak the night before in some olive oil, pepper and garlic salt. Let me know if you try it =o)

INGREDIENTS:
One 11-by-17-inch sheet of frozen puff pastry, defrosted
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO), 1 turn of the pan, plus more for drizzling
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1 large shallot, chopped
1/2 pound button mushrooms, stemmed and finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped, or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper 1/4 cup dry sherry (a good glug)
4 filet mignon steaks (tournedos), cut 1 inch thick (about 5 ounces each)
8 ounces mousse pâté
1 large egg, lightly beaten with a splash of water

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 425°. Place the pastry on the counter to take the chill off.

Heat a small skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of EVOO (1 turn of the pan) and the butter. When the butter melts into the EVOO, add the shallot, mushrooms and thyme. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes, then season with salt and pepper; add the sherry. Cook off the liquid until dry, about 1 minute. Remove from the heat, reserve and let cool.

Heat a large nonstick skillet over high heat. Drizzle EVOO over the meat to lightly coat it on both sides. Place the meat in the hot skillet and sear to caramelize, 2 minutes on each side. (Don’t move the meat while cooking it.) Remove the meat after 4 minutes and let it cool completely. Pat the steaks dry and season with salt and pepper just before wrapping in the dough.

Cut the pâté evenly into 4 flat 2-ounce portions. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper. Open the puff pastry dough on the parchment paper. Quarter the dough with a sharp knife. On 1 rectangle, mound one-fourth of the cooked mushrooms. Top the mushrooms with a portion of pâté and a beef tournedo. Brush the edges of the dough with egg wash. Wrap the dough up and over the meat, sealing it with egg wash and tucking in the ends as you would a wrapped present. Repeat and arrange the 4 Wellingtons on a baking sheet. Brush the completed Wellingtons with egg wash and bake until golden, 12 to 15 minutes. Remove the meat from the oven and let rest for 5 minutes.
