Re: should i feel guilty?...
You shouldn't feel guilty because baby comes first!!!! But I totally get you I feel guilty every time I call in sick or out due to weather conditions!!! DH keeps yelling at me to F everything and stay home but I'm just not that kind of laid back employee...

don't feel guilty at all! I live in the city, so I went to work, but I literally shuffled my way in across the ice, it was as if I was ice skating.

i always feel guilty when i dont go into work, no matter what reason. but in the end, i know my safety and the baby's safety is way more important than work.

No - if you have the time and you don't have a major deadline or something, I don't see the big deal -

Re: should i feel guilty?...
No way!!! The only reason I dragged myself in at 20 weeks is because I have a pretty big meeting this afternoon.
I did come in late though. The trains were running on a weekend schedule and when I tried to get on an 8am train, it was jammed pack. There was NO WAY I was squeezing in. DH and I went and had breakfast and I waited forthe morning rush to subside.
You are lucky and smart for staying home. It's such a gross mess here. I would never have bothered if it weren't for this meeting, and I'm also the type to feel guilty about not making it in.

Don't feel guilty! If you take public transit, they are working on a weekend schedule, so it would have taken FOREVER to get in and to get home! I'm sure your boss understands!

Re: should i feel guilty?...
i didnt go in to the city today either. i tried around 10am and as soon as DH and i walked outside he was like "NOPE youre not going. you have a more important job, to take care of ." I argued him a little cause I'm usually not a puss when it comes to weather. I keep having to remind myself that comes first although I tend to think if i was to fall I would contort ANY possible way to not injur . But i suppose its better to not have to deal with that at all.. so I'm working from home.

Re: should i feel guilty?...
no, don't feel bad at all.
I'm only 14.5 weeks and I fell on the ice while holding my toddler this morning. I literally busted my *** in a bush to get here and some people didn't even show up.

Don't feel guilty, I'm sure there are people who didn't go in today who aren't pregnant. Your safety comes first!!

Re: should i feel guilty?...
you made a good decision... i was walking to the subway and turned around b/c the sidewalks weren't shoveled and i didn't want to fall down.

Re: should i feel guilty?...
I actually felt guilty for going in and putting and myself in danger. I'm trying to bank as many days as I could before maternity but some things are not worth it- luckily DH drove me and walked me all the way to my school building but still...
