Is Anyone on Estrogen Patches?
Am I the only one who's a total beaotch while on them? I've been so pizzed at everyone and everything  I usually do pretty good with all the meds (except for Lupron of course) but this is just too much!  I feel like kicking everybody's azz at work all day now  Anyone kwim?

I haven't started any meds yet, but have a (scary to me) list planned for when I do start and I am VERY worried about this type of thing.

I was on them post-IVF and they didn't really affect my mood. Maybe the progesterone balanced out the estrogen.

I just started Estradiol, so only time will tell. DH had a panic attack when he read the possible mood swing side effect, like I needed something to add the mood swings.

I started the patches on my first cryo cycle. This cryo cycle im on patches and estrace. They didn'y make me crazy, I just cried a lot more and over the most silly things. I am laughing at myself while crying.
The only thing that has made me really crazy is clomid. before they switched me to ivf they had me on the highest dosage. I hope to never be on that again.

i was on these from after my ER through most of the first tri. i wasnt super moody but i HATED the patches. they always made me HOT. and they left behind a nasty film that lasted WEEKS!! towards the end i got a bad rash from them too that last til only a few weeks ago

Baby oil works great to take off the sticky film.... I think they should tell everyone that who is on them. I spent about a month covered in sticky rectangles and then I tried everything I could think of and baby oil worked.

Thanks for the tip..I was told rubbing alchohol and that seems to do the trick for me.

I know exactly what you mean! At least before I started the patches I used to be good at pretending that I could at least tolerate everyone!  Now I can't even do that anymore!

I can't even see that there's a patch on my stomach. All I see is a big black outline of a circle  It's basically glue with black lint stuck all over it  Problem is that I can't get rid of the glue because the whole patch will fall off.....My DH must find me extremelly hot these days!

ROFLMAO!! So true...I feel like a gremlin while cycling.
FYI-The IVF nurse at my center said that to make sure it stays in place I could place medical tape over the patch to hold it. I did that my first cycle and one of the benefits was that the patch came off in whole...no gummy nasties left behind. Also...the tape which is flesh colored is a bit more attractive....for what it's worth!! LOL

Thanks for the tip! Usually whenever the patch starts peeling off I just replace it. Never thought about the medical tape before. This will definitely save me some money!
