Sick
Hi ladies,
Last week I was feeling like I was geeting a cold but got some rest and drank some fluids and all was well.
Now, it is back with a vengeance. My throat is gettig scratchy and I am stuffed to all high hell. Now, I know I cannot take over the counter dayquil nyquil type stuff. What to expect when expecting and various books say rest, fluids etc.
Anybody have other advice other than the obvious juice and rest? Did you get sick at all while u were preggo and what did u do?
Thanks, Ang

Re: Sick
I was sick...upper respiratory infection...I tried to fight it off with fluids & chicken soup...but I felt it getting worse so I went to my primary care DR and she gave me a zpak antiobiotic. I checked w/ my ob and they said it was perfectly fine to take. My primary also said I could take pseudofed and claritin...but I did not want to take them, since they just treat syptoms, and dont actually help you heal...1 day into the zpak I felt 100 times better...
Feel Better soon! :)

Re: Sick
I have this right now. I've been sick since friday. My doc said to take robatusan dm. I have taken it a few times but haven't felt much better.
I've just been resting. Hate taking off work since I am using days that will come off of my paid leave time.
Feel better!

Re: Sick
I'm right there with you. I'm taking Sudafed and Robitussin. I make sure I have the humidifier on at night. And I use Booth's Breathe Easy Body Wash (found it in the naturals section in Rite Aid) which is like Vicks but without the medicine...it is a combo of peppermint, spearmint and eucalyptus that helps me breathe in the morning.
As well, I've been trying to drink lots of water and decaf tea, as well as rest as much as possible.
Oh and Riccola to help with the throat.
Feel better
