booked a hotel on priceline! my first time
Although I'm not totally happy with the results, Im just psyched about our trip and wanted to share my experience.
I wanted to book a hotel on hotwire that was claiming to be a 4.5 star hotel in the area of San Francisco that we really wanted. I researched and found out that there was only one 4.5 star hotel in that area so I felt like it was going to be that one. It was going for $136- dh didnt want to pay so much (his credit card lol).
so i went onto priceline and put a bid on a 4* hotel for $90. got rejected  so they suggested we bid $115. DH said go for it so we won a bid. We are staying in the Hilton which is in an excellent location but its not very high on the trip advisor list. Whatever. It was a kind of cool thing and I think ill do it again for something else.

Nice! We're going to SF and Napa next month. However, you got a much better hotel deal than me.  I'm so excited to go to Alcatraz! (I'm sure that's something Al Capone never said )

That's awesome. If it's the Hilton in the business district, we stayed there and it's really nice. It's near the Ferry Building. It's a bit far from the tourist part of the city, but you can catch the trolley cars right outside.

when are you going? we are going president's week. we're going to do one of those cheesy bus tours to napa and sonoma, the one that picks u up at the hotel.
