wedding question
I am due on September 13 (or 14 depending who you ask! ). Very dear friends of ours are geting married on the 16th. ASSUMING I have not yet had the baby, would you go to the wedding? We live in NJ, delivering in Livingston. Wedding is on LI. Can't remember exactly where but not too far out - maybe 1 - 1 1/2 ours away from hospital). As soon as we got the save the date from them we told them we would respond as "Maybe" since we realy won't know until then! They are totally cool with that so we really don't have to make a decision until that day but I wanted to get all your opinions anyway!

Re: wedding question
Personally, I wouldn't go, too far away and I remember right before I gave birth I was the crankyest b i t c h! I had no sleep, very uncomfortable, it hurt to sit sometimes and move around.

Re: wedding question
See how you feel. I know my last two weeks were miserable (predonal labor, BH, pelvic pain, etc.) and I felt so huge. I could not imagine going to a wedding in the condition I was in at that point. Everyone is different, you probably won't know until the day of.

So true! Thank you for the honest feedback. I will just have to see how I feel.

Re: wedding question
I delivered 8 days late and honestly if you have something to wear and have been feeling good, I would definitley go. During that time a distraction from 'waiting' is good. I worked up until I delivered becuase I wanted to keep busy until the time came!

The funny part is that I am leaving work on Septemer 1 so I don't have to do the commute anymore while pregnant! Like everyone said though, I don't have to decide today. I can wake up that morning and see how I feel!

Re: wedding question
I wouldn't go because it is cutting it close to your due date and you never know when you will go or how you would feel. If that was my friend I would hate to RSVP yes and not be able to show. Since she is most likely paying per person.

Re: wedding question
We had a similar problem with DH's co-workers wedding. Its supposed to be a gigantic party (one of those weddings where its more of a party than a romantic wedding?) and I told DH "do you still want to go to the wedding since you cant drink b.c there is no way if I go into labor your allowed to have even an ounce of alcohol in you- I dont want a buzzed DH driving or being at the hospital with me!"

So funny! That is exactly what I said to DH last night. I said, I am fine going but you (he) can't drink. If I go into labor, there is no way I am driving to NJ from LI! Also, I don't want to get to the hospital with him all stinking of booze

Re: wedding question
You also may be very uncomfortable (especially if it's hot) and not feel in the mood to get dressed for a wedding.
I know my last few weeks you couldn't get me out of my sweats!
