UPDATE#2: Are my follies too small?

Hi ladies,

I could use your help answering this question.

This is our first IUI with Clomid & I don't want to mess this up!

I tried calling my Dr.'s office but they're not open for another hour, and by that time I'd have to leave for my appt and DH will have to leave for work.

I was supposed to go in for a follie check yesterday afternoon, but rescheduled to this morning b/c of the snow.

Woke up this morning to a on my CBE OPK.

Does that mean DH should take off from work to come with me to the appointment? Its hard for him to take off from work, so he was only going to be at appointments as needed.

Or will he not be needed until tomorrow?

UPDATE - Friday AM:
Thanks for responding ladies!

So I took a chance that they might still want to do the follie check, but I was wrong.

They wanted to send me to drop off DH's stuff to be processed for an IUI.

Ummmm ... he wasn't with me and I didn't have his "stuff"

Then they gave me the option of having the IUI today or tomorrow ... but if I have it today, then I may be able to have a 2nd one tomorrow. That's what I'm aiming for at this point.

Poor DH had to leave work to go up there to make a "deposit" on his lunch break and then I'm going back up there about 2 hrs after that for the IUI.

I had a vision in my head that the sample would be produced at home, and he'd be there with me for the IUI. Best laid plans and all, right?

We may have a 2nd IUI tomorrow, so at least he'd be able to be with me for that one.

UPDATE 2: Friday Afternoon
Love the Baby Dust!

Things went smoothly, and it was such a quick procedure I was surprised it was over almost before it started!

After the IUI, Dr. Rausch did a sono to check follies. I had a few but 1 lead follie on each side - one was 19 (almost 20) and one was 17.

She said they were a good size, but honestly I'm a little that maybe they're too small.

Going back tomorrow AM for a 2nd round of IUI. I'm really happy we are able to do back-to-back.

anything over 18 is good! i assume 17 is good too!

Those are good sizes !


All my IUI's my RE wanted them between 18-22 and was told they grow 2mm per day approx....

Sperm does not only live for one day so they will be anxiously waiting your eggie

I only had one and it was 17mm so they had me trigger the next day anticipating it would be about 19mm by then. Anything 18mm is good.

I don't think those are too small. Some months mine have been right around there. Good luck!

You don't want super big follies... the trigger will cause them to get bigger, but there is an "ideal" size.
