Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...
Try to flush out your system, it helps with the gases. The first one I wasn't told too and had major gas pains the follwoing days. My 2nd one, my RE recommended it and it helped a lot. I still had some gas pains but it was not nearly as bad as the first time around.
Good luck!!!

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...
Keep a pillow pressed to your tummy for the few days after. It helps to push the gas out. And don't try to do too much too soon.
Good luck

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...
Good Luck! I was very sore after it. I didn't have any gas pains just bruised really bad and had trouble getting up. Take the time off if you can and relax after it.

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...
The gas pains were the worst part. Do deep breathing exercises. It helped keep the air away from my lungs adn push out the anestesia. They say your lungs hurt after anestesia for some reason.
Good luck!

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...
I have had 2 done. The first one I felt the pain in my shoulders and chest. Had lots of gas. Just keep your legs up and drink flat gingerale. The second one, was done by a surgeon and he made me do a bowel cleanser the night before. I had no pain at all after my surgery and they found more endo then the first time. Just felt alittle crampy. Both times I was fine by the third day, but I have moderate endo. Good luck to you!!!

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...UPDATED
Thanks guys..it went well, he found a lot of endo> im home resting now.
I'm okay but the gas went into my shoulders...that is honestly the worst part. My shoulders feel very tender- as if i had a tetanus shot on both of them...that pain u get after the shot...you know what i mean?
The incisions seem small and are painless.
I just want this shoulder pain to go away bc it sux bad.
I think he wants me to do lupron for 2-3 months before any other IF treatments
Im not happy taking a break, I wanted to go full speed. I guess my next question will be:
if u took lupon after your lap..how bad are those side effects?
Thanks to all the ladies who responded..your support really helps!!

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...UPDATED in second post
Yes, that gas is the worst part! I found it helpful to sleep on my back propper up on pillows- almost on a 45 degree angle.
ETA- it gets better day by day.
I did't take lupron after so I have no advice there.

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...UPDATED in second post
I also have moderate endo. I was never on lupron after my lap. Since I was ttc they said that the first 6 months are your most fertile months and to go ahead and try. But I think it all depends on the severity of the endo. If they were not able to get it all, they like to add the lupron to get the rest out. My best friend had stage 3 endo and had to go on lupron for 3 months. I think the worst side effect was hot flashes and mood swings. She got pregnant on her first IVF. I on the other hand did not. I got pregnant 6 months after my lap with my first IUI but miscarried. I did a whole bunch of IUIs and IVF after and my endo grew back because of all the drugs. My recommendation is after the lupron get aggressive because unfortunately all these drugs are like food to the endo. Feel better and good luck

Re: Laporoscopy tomorrow...UPDATED in second post
Glad everything went well. The gas is the worst part, expecially if you try to take a deep breath. I noticed that if I have my legs propped up it helps. Hope you feel better!
