Flank steak marinade?
Looking to try a new marinade on some flank steak for tomorrow's dinner.
Any recipes you'd recommend?

Re: Flank steak marinade?
I usually do balsamic vinegar and low sodium soy sauce (equal parts, enough to cover), plus about a tablespoon each of honey, worcestershire (sp?) sauce and like 4 cloves of garlic, minced. It is awesome.

Re: Flank steak marinade?
Soy sauce, minced fresh ginger, chopped fresh garlic, a little olive oil, some chopped scallion, a little sprite or sugar water and let it sit. 1 hour before cooking put it in the room so it can reach room temperature. No more than 10 minutes before cooking I put in a little vinegar or lemon juice. If you add it too soon it will start to cook your meat - I don't think it's bad but it alters the flavor too much for my palate. I love this marinade!

Re: Flank steak marinade?
so I blended a few of the above ideas to work with what I had in the house.
soy, bourbon, olive oil, garlic, honey, pepper and shallots. (I forgot to pick up more worcestershire sauce yesterday- I hope its not noticeably missing)
I may add some lemon just before cooking.
smells delish!
I'm intrigued by the crushed pineapple idea, and will have to try that next time.
