I am seriously addicted to cereal

I eat it for breakfast lunch dinner snack and also late at night
I am trying not to but cant help it

Cereal is so good and one of the most underrated foods ever. As long as you eat the healthy ones you should be ok. Some cereals can be very filling and hold you over for awhile and keep you from snacking!

my problem is that the reccomended serving NEVER fills me
example: 3/4 cup of wheaties and 1/2 cup skim 140 calories
I added 1/2 cup fiber one but needed another half cup of skim milk so that was another 100 calories but also ate a handful of wheaties before I added to the bowl so that had to be a good 35 calories

now we are at 285calories and am still hungryChat Icon plus add my 2 cups of coffee w/ff creamer at at least 350 calories

I need to find a more filling breakfast

Do you ike shredded Wheat? Of all cereals out there I find this BY FAR to be the most filling. For more flavor you can add some fruit and/or cinnamin.

Also as far as the other cereals go, maybe add some bananas in to help fill you up?

DH is like that - but with the bad stuff - Lucky Charms.

I'm the total opposite. I'll crave something, buy it, have one bowl & it'll expire before I eat it again.
Not to mention all cereals have a negative effect on my sugar levels so I tend to stay away.

Why do you have to stick to the recommended serving? I don't, and I'm still losing. I fill up a big bowl with something like Cascadian Farms Fruitful O's (tastes like Froot Loops) or Kashi Strawberry Fields, 2% milk, 1 banana or six sliced strawberries.

I'm also a creamer/half and half lover so I feel your pain. But Land O Lakes has Low-Fat creamer that isn't hard to get used to.

For breakfast, I do 2 hard boiled eggs, 1 banana, and one slice of whole wheat bread with 2 tablespoons of low-fat peanut butter. It doesn't sound like much but it's very filling. You can sub one packet of oatmeal for any of those, 1/2 cup of fat-free cheese. Just remember you shouldn't scrimp on breakfast, and you should eat something good within one hour of waking. I am loving the Fiber One cereals.
They're a little higher in points (on WW), but, worth it cause they fill me up!
