Country Pointe Kings Park
Anyone know anyone who lives there or is familiar with it? DH and I have been exploring selling our house for a condo.

Re: Country Pointe Kings Park
I used to live right near Country Pointe in Kings Park. (those are the ones off Indian Head road, right?) I don't know much about condos, but if you have any questions about the area I can answer those! I love Kings Park!

just curious and maybe personal but anyhow...i was wondering why you would want to sell your house for a condo. i would understand maybe if your older but i see your avatar is a baby.

DH is self employed so he works a lot. When he does have free time we'd rather be traveling or out enjoying the time as a family and not worrying about the house or working on the house. We also like the idea of a gated community to keep most of the riff raff out.

I am surprised yet totally understand your point. DH and I were talking about this also when he was applying for a job in NH that we would look at a townhouse community instead of single family houses. He decided not to go for the job but this could still be a possibility in the future.

Re: Country Pointe Kings Park
I am originally from kings park and I am familiar with this community. I think that it is beautiful.... However, my mom pointed out to me that it was built extrememly close to a landfill. There used to be an elementry school on that property and it closed. I remember it closing because there werent enough students, however my mother insists it had something to do with the landfill. If I were to consider purchasing there, i would definitely have the water quality checked. I would hope that they wouldnt build on unsafe land, but you just never know.....
There is also another townhouse community in kings park called Lake Bridge which is older than country pointe but also very nice. And there is another one right up Indian Head Road in Commack that is pretty nice.... I would definitely look into these two communities as well if you like the area. Because they are a little older you may get more for you money.
