Re: Swedish Meatballs and Noodles
I love, love, love the IKEA gravy packet for swedish meatballs. I don't eat red meat, so I just make turkey meatballs - I add onion and breadcrumbs and egg and pepper (normally I make them more italian style but for swedish style I make them denser without the italian seasonings) and then I make some egg noodles and I make the IKEA gravy. You pour that package in with some cream and cook that up. I like to serve it with the IKEA ligonberries too. It's so delicious.

Re: Swedish Meatballs and Noodles
Just made these tonight for dinner. This is my MILs recipe and she is Hungarian. lol
Make meatballs (minced onion, garlic powder, herbs, bread crumbs, egg, meat)
Brown in frying pan with 3 tablespoons olive oil, then drain oil reserving tiny bits of stuff
Add one can of cream of mushroom soup and fill same can with white wine (I use whatever I want to drink the rest of that night, Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, whatever).
Stir together and simmer for about 30 minutes until wine evaporates (if you taste the sauce you'll REALLY taste the wine if you don't wait). Simmer on low or it will burn to the bottom of the pan.
Prepare egg noodles as package suggests.
Right before serving, add sour cream to the meatball/soup mixture. DH is a sour cream fanatic, so I usually add 1/2 the container. Mix well and serve promptly.
