signs of yeast infection and q about dr B
hi ladies, i have not been on for a week or so, but i am back now and i think i have a yeast infection what are the most common signs of it? i have slight itching and some white stuff (TMI) coming out
also, i have my first consult with dr B tomorrow i am sooooooooo nervous, can not explain why. Should I ask him to take a look and to see if I indeed have a yest infection? He is a former ob gyn, right?

Yup...sounds like a YI. I don't go to Dr. B, but my RE has diagnosed it for me before. Usually he tells me to take Monistat. Once Monistat didn't work for me and he prescribed me Diflucan.

ehh i think my ob gyn prescribes 7 day treatment of something that starts with "t".

I always tell Dr. B when I have a yeast infection or even a UTI. I am a patient of his and even though Im taking a break I will still e-mail him and ask him to call in something for my infection. He use to be a OBGYN, I would tell him that you think you have one. It's easier then having to go to your own doctor. Good Luck! However I must say if you never have had a yeast infection before it is better to get it cultured just to make sure it is one.

It sounds like the beginning of it. You should nip in in the bud asap. Monostat 1 works for me.

never had a yeast infection but dr. B called in meds for UTI's for me before.

If you've never had a yeast infect I would go see your ob the first time. It probably is one but there are other infections that ccan mimic a yeast infect and you want to know for sure that's what it is. Feel better!!

The office should be able to do it. Because if you have to go through your OBG it may take a while to get an appt, and then get te results, so I think they take this into consideration, especially because everything is timed based on our cycles. I started to get a YI back in the summer, and bought these Vagisil medicated wipes and it did help, the YI went away, you can probably start with that until you get to see your doc.
