UPDATE Rough day..

I am in the middle of my second clomid cycle. I had my monitoring sono this morning...Its day 15 and I only have one follicle that is at 15. My doctor was trying to be positive that it only takes one, but he didn't seem very convincing. He said they normally like to see a dominant follicle at 18-20 by now... Any thoughts ladies? I really have myself down and out right now...

Also, I have the postcoital test tomorrow evening. Did you all do this test???

Update: Postcoital test did not go well...My cervical mucus is great, but all of DH's sperm that were present were not moving. very bad!! My OB/GYN says that DH needs to head to a urologist and we both need to go to a reproductive specialist from now on...So we have an appointment with Dr. San Roman at RS of NY in Stony Brook tomorrow. It made me feel a lot better that they got us in right away... Looking forward to hearing what he has to say...I thought I could accomplish this at my Doctor's office with his limited fertility expertise, but unfortunately we need to move on to bigger and better things. I am officially joining you ladies at the RE's office...

if you are getting any results from clomid, its good. many of us (including me) tried clomid and has no results whatsoever. so one follie is BY FAR better than none!! so hang in there!!

i did a year of fertility treatments including IVF to get my sticky BFP and I never had to do the poist-coital test.

I have no experience with clomid but we did a post coital. It was not a big deal and did not hurt at all. They just use a syringe w/out a needle to take a sample of the fluid in your cervix. Good luck!

Thanks for your support ladies!! I know I am only in the beginning of my IF journey even though I am going on 15 months of trying...Its hard to stay positive!!! I appreciate the responses though!! Its nice to know that someone is listening out there! xoxo

50 mg days 5-9... last month I had 4 follies and of course BFN but I was very positive about this month...And then I find out there's only a small one... It was just hard to hear after last month...

50 mg is the smallest dose. as flowerwife said, it is a good sign that you respond to this min dose. I had 2 clomid cycles. One was 50mg- i had 2 follies, another one was 100 mg and i had 2 follies as well. so, clomid is a tricky drug

as the other girls said....clomid is such an odd substance. DD was conceived on only 50mg.....now, this time around 50mg did nothing....I am up to 200mg and this past cycle had 2 follies, but on day 24 they were finally at 18 & 20...everyone responds differently, but I do agree that at least you are responding to it as many people don't.
