Are we really that horrible
that we have not asked anyone to be Alison's godparents yet?
We know who we want to ask , but we are never alone with them to ask them, and we will not ask with a big crowd around.

definitely not, if it makes you feel any better we haven't even baptized Alia and she is going to be 2 in August.

No, not horrible at all! In fact, I asked Christopher's Godmother VERY early and I started regretting it by the time he was born. Not exactly something you can take back though without destroying a friendship, so now he has a Godmother that I'm not thrilled with. It's better to take your time with such an important thing
