Insight ANYONE
Here is a very brief history: DH and I have been TTC for about 16 months, after a yr of trying we started to see Dr. B...he sent us for all the protocol and EVERYTHING has come back fine. I can literally tell you exactly when I O and get AF...DH's tests all came back fine! So.......now I do no know where to go...is anyone in this boat??? I have to call Dr. B tomorrow, and see where to go from this. This was my first medicated cycle and I took Femera....AF is due Sunday Just frustrated
Can anyone off insight?? Thanks

Re: Insight ANYONE
Don't give up hope yet! Did they check the size of your eggs to make sure you have a strong O? I've heard of people Oing, but the eggs arent good enough. The meds are supposed to help that. Then there is IUI.
I'm not exactly in the same boat and will just be starting meds for the first time this month. I also have endo though. I can also tell exactly when I O and I have always had regular cycles.
Good luck!

sonos dont tell you egg quality. the only hormone that suggests it is elevated FSH. beyond that the only thing that can show whether egg quality is bad is through IVF where you can see if the eggs dont fertilize. or are abnormal.
regardless of that, 1. youre not out this cycle, and #2 you have barely scratched the surface on treatment options. dr. B is the king of thinking outside the box on treatment options and diagnostic tools. theres IUI, injectables, IVF... not that you would jump into IVF, but there are a lot more doors for you to walk through before you can say that youve exhausted all options. so try to hang in there and look at the big pictures, that you have a TON of options and having a reliable cycle is half the battle to begin with.

Re: Insight ANYONE
Hi there. I am diagnosed as unexplained infertility. It can be frustrating to not have something they can "fix". We are perfect on paper.
I had 3 iuis with clomid..all BFN. My first injectable iui I for pregnant. I was in shock. I had never seen a positive pregnancy test. Unfortunately I had a miscarriage at 10wks. My RE said he is very confident we will get pregnant and have our baby, it's just finding what works. Sorta like trial and error.
I just had my 7th iui and I am hoping and praying this gives us our take home baby. If this doesn't work, we're moving onto IVF.
Sorry I didn't have any real insight for you, but I thought sharing what I've been through might help you see you are definitely not alone.

Thanks its just frustrating. I figured that by this point I would have a "diagnonsis" and move on from this, and start going forward with treatment. I go for BETA Mon. so I guess well see then

Re: Insight ANYONE
I know it's frustrating! I'm sorry that they didn't find something they can "fix." I have a friend with the same unexplained infertility. She conceived on her own within a few months and miscarried, then could not get pregnant again for the longest time. They tested her and her DH and found nothing wrong. Then she got pregnant on her first IVF and has 1 yr old twins that are absolutely adorable! Just sharing that to show you that it can still happen! Good Luck!

I'm in the same situation - unexplained infertility. It is the most frustrating thing i've ever had to deal with because there is no 'problem', so nothing to fix! We've been at this for about 2 years now with countless numbers of bfn's and one chemical
i've been in the care of an RE for about a year and a half, and we've done 7 or 8 IUI's (i've lost count) and are about to start our first cycle with IVF
I think you're making the right move by seeing a specialist - they can help you determine the best course of action to help get you pregnant. Being monitored is the best way to determine what to do next. If this month doesn't work out, then he can change it up for next month.. have you done IUI yet? that helps increase your chances slightly
hang in there and know you're doing the right thing..
