Mardi Gras Recipes?
My firm will be hosting a Mardi Gras themed staff party in March and I've been put in charge of food. I'm more of a baker than a cook, so while I've got tons of great dessert recipes, I've got NOTHING for actual food. I don't even know what's traditional of a New Orleans Mardi Gras meal?!
Any ideas/recipes would be extremely helpful. We'll definitely be ordering some stuff, too, since we don't have a kitchen here and not everything can be made at home and brought in. So far, I've got jambalaya and that's it! lol! Help! TIA!

Jill
If it helps, I saw a jambalya recipe in my crockpot cookbook. That may be an option too.
Good luck

Definitely check out allrecipes which is one of the links Barb sent you. I love that site and they seem to have a lot of options! Too bad you can't just bring in alcohol!

Re: Mardi Gras Recipes?
Anything with sausage or seafood.
I recommend Good Housekeeping's Sausage and Shrimp Gumbo recipe.
It's a soup but very hearty with sausage and shrimp and rice. It makes a HUGE portion too, so all you have to do is make one pot/recipe and it will feed a whole office.
