Which one would you visit?
My bf and I are trying to decide where to go end of February/beg. of March. We have it narrowed down to 9 places (we have issues), but now we really need to narrow it down further.
So,
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Ochos Rios, Jamaica
Punta Cana, DR
Panama City, Panama
All 4 places would be within 300 of each other, per person-so not a HUGE difference..

I'm all about visiting a new country and exploring it than a beach vacation. But sometimes you do just need to chill out.. 
I would pick Panama City, Panama with all the culture and sightseeing.. it would be a wonderful cultural experience.
eta: it also depends on how many days you have.. you don't to be so tired from a vacay that you need another one.. been there done that..

I might be biased bc I have been to 3/4 of the places that you mentioned.
For *me* I liked Punta Cana the best out of Montego Bay and Ocho Rios. I have never been to Panama City but I am also a beach person- not much into exploring.

Agreed. I'd go to Panama City in a heartbeat! But I'm more an explorer than a vegger.

we like to do a mix of both-our last vaca was to cancun..we spent 1 day doing chichen itza, 1 day swimming with dolphins, n the rest of the time vegging on the beach n going to the spa...

if you like that, then go to Punta Cana. but make sure you check out their excursion options before u book so u find something u like. Panama City loooks so awesome tho. maybe you can do day trips to the rainforest or beaches (?)

based on personal experience, i'd say punta cana. we stayed at Excellence and LOVED it. But I've never been to Panama and that sounds pretty cool too! I'm not a fan of Jamaica.

My family is from Panama and there is so much you can do there. If you want something different, I would recommend the Hotel Gamboa, which is found in the middle of the rain forest. I have stayed at that hotel and it is beautiful and the food is amazing.
Visiting the Canal Zone, if you want to stay in the city, you can visit restaurants like Manolo's, which have some traditional foods. If you go end of February, you will be going probably after Carnival is over. So it probably won't be as expensive to go.
I have also been to Punta Cana....went to RIU resort, which was great but you mostly stay on the resort compound.
