Tampons- how long do you leave it in?

I use regular ones and I like to sleep with it in but I often forget and go 9-10 hours

how bad is this?
I never have an issue with overflow

the pamphlet says you can sleep in them up to 8 hours

during the day I change it every 8-9 hours

No more than 4 hours and then i change it. I use the regular ones.
