The good news and the annoying news
I saw Dr. B today for monitoring, and I had two nice size follies, 18 mm and 19 mm, on my left side, along with a few smaller ones. The good news is that I had a better and quicker response to the meds this cycle, so I'm kind of glad we stuck with the femara and didn't add the injectibles yet.
The annoying thing is that ideally, Dr. B would have done my IUIs on Friday and Saturday, but they're closed, so now it's tomorrow morning. I'm just worried that it's not being done at the ideal time. I triggered as soon as I got home from the appointment, around 11:30 this morning, so hopefully those follies will be all ready to go tomorrow.

I think having your IUI tomorrow will be fine. The follicles can grow up to 2 mm in a day and sperm lasts up to 5 days. Just make sure to BD a couple of times between tomorrow and Friday also. Good luck.

Re: The good news and the annoying news
When I had a large follie and they wanted me to trigger, they scheduled my IUI for 36 hours after the trigger shot. I think that the average time to ovulate is 40 hours after the trigger, and they want the sperm to be there, ready to meet the egg when it's released. "Washed" sperm from an IUI live for about 5 hours. Regular sperm in semen, from BD'ing, can live for 3-5 days. So we were supposed to bd 2 days before the IUI to maximize our chances. If you did it last night, that would have been great.
I'm not an RE though, and Dr. B. obviously knows what he's doing! Ask him about it: how many hours after the trigger does a woman usually ovulate? When should DH and I BD after I get home to maximize our chances?
Good luck!
