baking question
i just made caramel pecan bars. it told me to grease a baking pan and then to put a layer of aluminum foil on top and grease THAT. when the bars are ready, you just pop the foil out and cut them easily. but what was the point of greasing the pan? i cant imagine the foil would stick to the pan...?

Re: baking question
this way, if there is a tear in the foil, whatever goes through won't stick and it will continue to be easy to pull the whole thing out.
i just did this with the fudge i have in the fridge, it was parchment paper instead of foil, but the same concept
